1. Class Based on Density
    • The classification of products is based on their density.
  2. Weight Requirements
    • Any item weighing 150 lbs or more must be shipped via Less Than Truckload (LTL) freight.
  3. Length Requirements
    • Any item with a length of 12 feet (144 inches) or more, regardless of weight or density, must go LTL.
  4. Dimensional Requirements
    • If the combined length, width, and girth of an item is 65 inches or more, it must go LTL.
    • For items under 108 inches in length, the girth can be up to 67 inches.
  5. Special Equipment for Loading and Unloading
    • Buyers and sellers may need special equipment, such as a drop gate or forklift, for loading and unloading.
    • Vendors must indicate whether they have the necessary equipment at the time of sign-up. If not, there will be a charge for the required equipment.
    • Most companies will have this equipment, but individual buyers likely will not. Therefore, vendors should specify if a product requires equipment for unloading. Note that truckers will not assist with unloading.
  6. Required Measurements
    • Vendors must provide the length, width, height, weight, and girth of each product. The class can be determined from these measurements.
  7. Packaging and Additional Costs
    • Vendors must include the cost of crating, palletizing, and packaging in their weight calculations for each product.
    • Inform vendors of our fees so they can determine their final selling price.
  8. Shipping Costs
    • Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the vendor offers free shipping or customer pickup.
  9. Insurance and Receipt
    • Ensure that insurance is included and a signature upon receipt is required.
